Lessons for the Life of Faith from Numbers A journey is long and involved, a lot of highs and a lot of lows, tiring, exciting, thrilling, surprising, that is what we understand when we use the word "journey". A long, involved ardous trip. Israel took a very long journey from the land of Egypt, were they were enslaved, all the way through to the Promised Land. The trip could have taken just a little over a year, but the journey took almost 40 years. As we look at their journey, we are watching a people of faith seek to walk with God just like you and I are; we are related by faith in Christ to what Israel experienced.
